Some lamps illuminate a surface. BIELA transforms the atmosphere of a space.

A table lamp from the Atome collection, this piece is built around a nickel-plated metal sphere entirely covered with recycled glass beads, placed one by one by hand in our workshops in Belgium. The sphere disappears beneath the material — what remains is a dense, living globe whose reflections shift with the ambient light.

When lit, the light passes through and bounces off each bead, creating a soft, enveloping halo. Switched off, BIELA stands as a sculptural object in its own right. The effect intensifies with size — from an intimate presence at T1 to an architectural statement at T7.

Choosing your size

BIELA is available in seven sizes, from the most compact to the monumental, each designed for a specific interior scale.

• T1 — Ø 15 × H 13 cm: the accent piece. Bedside table, console, entrance unit. A compact format ideal for intimate settings.
• T2 — Ø 21 × H 18 cm: versatile. Living room console, bookcase, dressing table. A balance between discretion and presence.
• T3 — Ø 27 × H 22 cm: the centrepiece for smaller interiors. Living room, dining room, study.
• T4 — Ø 34 × H 29 cm: a strong presence. Medium-sized living room, master bedroom, waiting room.
• T5 — Ø 40 × H 40 cm: large format. Reception space, private entrance hall, hotel suite.
• T6 — Ø 50 × H 50 cm: very large format. Reception lounge, lobby, prestige space.
• T7 — Ø 60 × H 60 cm: monumental format. Double-height halls, exceptional spaces. At this scale, BIELA defines the space it inhabits.

Two finishes, two atmospheres. White Brilliant: translucent recycled glass beads — pearlescent reflections, living light, brilliance that shifts with the angle. Available from T1 to T7. White Mat: matt recycled glass beads — soft, diffused light, a calmer sculptural presence. Also available from T1 to T7.

Materials & handcrafted manufacturing

The structure of BIELA is a nickel-plated metal sphere, entirely hand-covered with recycled glass beads. Each bead is placed individually — the density and regularity of the coating result from meticulous work that cannot be mechanised. The subtle variations in arrangement and transparency are the hallmark of authentic craftsmanship. Each BIELA is unique.
