A handmade glass leaf wall light, built size by size
Ecorce is a glass leaf wall light made entirely by hand. Glass corollas are laid one by one onto a metal structure, layer after layer, until they form a dense surface that evokes tree bark — organic, textured, luminous. The structure remains completely hidden beneath the glass.
When lit, Ecorce filters light through the gaps between the leaves: an indirect, soft and directional glow, with no visible source. When unlit, the piece holds its own: the volume and texture of the glass are enough.
T1, T2, T3, T4 — four formats, four uses
Ecorce is available in four sizes with distinct proportions, each suited to a different context.
Ecorce T1 (H 26 × W 24 cm · 2.4 kg) is the compact, vertical format. It fits naturally in corridors, entrance halls and circulation spaces, or flanking a mirror or artwork. Its single G9 source focuses the light.
Ecorce T2 (H 31 × W 42 cm · 3.9 kg) is the first panoramic format. Wider than it is tall, it suits living rooms, alcoves and hotel bedrooms where the wall light should read across the width of the wall rather than its height. Two G9 sources.
Ecorce T3 (H 21 × W 42 cm · 2.6 kg) is the low panoramic format. Same width as the T2, reduced height: it installs at head height above a bench, bed or sofa, or in a row along a long wall. Two G9 sources.
Ecorce T4 (H 51 × W 28 cm · 4 kg) is the tall vertical format. Its height makes it the natural choice for high-ceilinged spaces, hotel lobbies and wide corridors where a wall light needs to read at elevation. Two G9 sources.
Ecorce M — the curved version
Ecorce M T3 (H 27 × W 55 cm · 2.8 kg) is a variation on the same constructive logic, with one essential difference: the glass leaves are curved back on themselves, giving the piece greater depth (D 18 cm versus D 12 cm for the standard models) and a dynamic that shifts depending on the viewing angle.
The curve amplifies the surface relief and creates shadow zones within the piece itself, independent of the lighting. Ecorce M suits spaces where the sculptural quality matters as much as the light.
WB or WM — the light effect depends on the glass
The glass corollas are available in two finishes that directly shape the quality of the diffused light.
- WB (White Brilliant) — glossy glass: the light filtered between the leaves carries slight surface reflections. The atmosphere is livelier, with a quality that shifts with the viewing angle. Suited to contemporary or high-contrast interiors.
- WM (White Matte) — matte glass: the light is more diffuse and even, the atmosphere more enveloping. The glass texture recedes slightly in favour of the overall volume. Recommended for spaces where softness and calm are the priority.
Other glass colours are available on request for bespoke projects.
