A glass bead wall light that brings light down the wall in vertical threads

PLUIE is a glass bead wall light built from vertical strings of round glass beads and glass drops in a White Brillant finish, suspended from a metal frame. When lit, the G9 source sends light through each glass element — the bead curtain captures, refracts and throws it back across the wall surface in multiple bursts, creating an effect of living, moving material.

Every string is assembled by hand. The density, evenness of spacing, and fineness of beads and drops are the result of piece-by-piece craftsmanship. PLUIE is designed for walls that call for a vertical light presence — corridors, staircases, alcoves, entrance halls, or any volume where a line of light descends naturally from ceiling to floor.

T1, T2, T3, T4: from accent piece to architectural statement

PLUIE is available in four standard sizes, each with a distinct character.

T1 (H 22 × W 20 cm · 1 G9) is the accent format — discreet and precise. It works alone as a punctuation piece or grouped in series along a wall or corridor. T2 (H 70 × W 20 cm · 1 G9) is the slender light column — present without imposing, perfectly scaled for a niche, a doorframe surround, or a narrow wall.

T3 (H 160 × W 30 cm · 1 G9) is the monumental piece: 160 cm of glass beads and drops suspended on your wall. It addresses high ceilings, stairwells, generous entrance halls, and ambitious interior facades — a sculptural presence that takes the wall from floor to near-ceiling height.

T4 (H 70 × W 70 cm · 3 G9) is a format of its own. Its square 70 × 70 cm footprint gives PLUIE a different logic: no longer a column, but a wide, luminous panel. Three G9 sources light the full surface evenly. T4 is designed for generous walls, headboards, space dividers, or grid compositions.

Fully bespoke: PLUIE in any dimension

PLUIE is entirely available as a bespoke piece. Height, width, number of strings, bead density — every parameter can be adjusted to your project. It is possible to commission a PLUIE of 3 metres for an interior facade, a very narrow version for a stair rail surround, or a panoramic format for a custom headboard.

Materials & handmade craftsmanship

Each PLUIE string is made up of round glass beads and glass drops in a White Brillant finish. Beads and drops are threaded and adjusted by hand onto the metal frame, string by string, with close attention to rhythm and evenness of composition.

Installation notes

T1 (1.2 kg) and T2 (1.7 kg) fix to a standard wall anchor. T3 (3.9 kg) and T4 (4.4 kg) require a certified wall anchor rated for the relevant load — verify your wall type (load-bearing, partition) before installation. For T4 projects, plan for three independent G9 feeds. Our mounting plan is available to download in the Documents column.
