JOYAU: a handcrafted glass bead and cut crystal pendant light

JOYAU does not simply switch on — it awakens. The moment light passes through its hundreds of glass beads and cut crystals, the entire room begins to shimmer. This pendant light from the Flambeau family is made entirely by hand: each bead, each crystal is threaded one by one onto a metal frame, row after row.

The result is an object that sits at the boundary between lighting and jewellery — a flattened sphere that captures light from every angle. JOYAU is not a discreet fixture: it takes ownership of the space above it, whether over a dining table, in a hotel lobby, or at the centre of a grand reception room.

Three sizes for every project

JOYAU is available in three diameters, each designed for a different spatial configuration. The T1 (Ø 45 cm) suits a table for four, a bedroom, or a hotel corridor. The T2 (Ø 60 cm) is the standard living room and dining room version — present without overpowering. The T3 (Ø 90 cm) is the centrepiece: at this scale, JOYAU structures space as much as it illuminates it.

Materials & handcrafted construction

Every JOYAU pendant is assembled by hand: glass beads and cut crystals are mounted one by one onto the metal frame. This artisan technique produces a slight variation from piece to piece — a discreet irregularity that makes each JOYAU shimmer differently depending on the viewing angle and the light source.
