A family story

The studio of an artisan
lighting creator

Spiridon Deco was born from a simple conviction: light deserves as much attention as architecture itself. Founded in Tournai in 2000, our Belgian house has specialised in the creation of bespoke artisan lighting, destined for five-star hotels, palaces, gastronomic restaurants and exceptional private residences.

Each lighting piece is born from a dialogue between our design studio in Tournai and Egyptian master craftsmen selected for their know-how passed down from generation to generation. Egypt holds one of the world’s oldest traditions of glasswork and metalwork — we draw on this millennial heritage to create pieces of irreplaceable richness.

The result? Lighting pieces that carry within them the trace of the human gesture — a dual soul, Belgian and Egyptian. Creations that tell a story — yours, illuminated by ours. Discover our full collection or explore our reference projects.

Our know-how

Noble materials,
an irreplaceable gesture

The singularity of our lighting comes from the rare alliance between the rigour of Belgian design, born in our Tournai studio, and the free gesture of Egyptian craftsmen — heirs to a millennial tradition of glasswork, crystal and metalwork. The two cultures fuse into a single piece — precise and sensitive at once.

Our process begins in Tournai with attentive listening to your project: architecture, ambiance, ceiling height, light intensity. Plans are then transmitted to our partner workshops in Egypt, where each piece is shaped by hand, in very limited series or as a unique piece.

What guides us

Three commitments,
one signature

01

Uncompromising craftsmanship

We refuse industrialisation that levels forms. Each lighting piece comes from an artisan’s hands — its subtle imperfections are its signature, irrefutable proof of its authenticity.

02

Bespoke as standard

Our collections are starting points, never limits. Dimensions, finishes, material combinations — everything adapts to your space, your palette and your technical requirements.

03

Durability as legacy

A Spiridon lighting piece is designed to last decades. We work with natural materials that age well and design each piece to be maintained, restored, passed on.

Artisan lighting creator
— the Spiridon Deco approach

Being an artisan lighting creator in Tournai means holding a dual demand: that of contemporary Belgian design — precise and elegant — and that of Egyptian craftsmanship — patient and irreducibly human. Spiridon Deco has built its reputation on this creative tension between two cultures, delivering pieces that resist both fashion and time. Since our founding in 2000, every chandelier, pendant and wall sconce that leaves our studio carries the mark of this alliance: a design conceived in Belgium, shaped by hands in Egypt.

Our artisan lighting collections are organised into twelve distinct families — each exploring a different form, material or optical principle. From the Atome collection, pared-back and geometric, to the Corolle collection, organic and floral, each family is coherent in its proportions while remaining fully customisable. Dimensions, metal finishes, glass tones and light sources all adjust to each project, whether a hotel room or a grand reception hall.

The design of each artisan lighting piece complies with European CENELEC electrical standards, guaranteeing safe installation in all European Union countries and beyond. Our cables, lamp holders and drivers are selected from the best professional references, compatible with low-energy LED sources. Worldwide delivery is handled directly from our Tournai base, with careful packaging designed to protect each piece across the longest journeys.

Whether you are an interior architect, a decorator, a hotelier or a private client in search of an exceptional piece, our team based in Tournai supports your project from the first sketch to final delivery. Lead times, technical constraints, home automation integration — we manage every parameter so you can focus on what matters most: the emotion your space must convey.
